TrackingPoint
TrackingPoint developed the world's first fully integrated precision guided tracking optic designed to reduce human error in military defense applications and ethical hunting. I led all user-centered design efforts delivering industrial design, integrated product user interfaces, both hardware and software, app design, and packaging.
Precision tracking optics. Industrial Design - Solidworks/Keyshot
M1400 .338LM long range hunting rifle - Lightweight aluminum stock and optics industrial design.
Developed the human-computer interaction to achieve optimal usability and defined the requirements for user controls and head up display design. This included researching and defining use cases, prototyping systems, and field testing. Patents Pending.
Buttstock with integrated power supply - Design required two batteries that could be replaced independently without powering down the system, withstand the shock of high powered cartridges, and to be water tight. Concept sketches of various battery packs and methods of attachment.
Out-Of-Box experience - Premium Precision Guided Firearms shipped with an iPad mini loaded with everything needed to get you on-board even before you have an internet connection or access to a shooting range. iPad came paired to your PGF so no setup was required by customer.
Gen2 - This is the second tracking optic design with larger dedicated optics for the laser transmitter and receiver.
